Supervisor - Trainer of Service Center

Job Description
OD is recruiting for a Supervisor / Trainer of Service Center which would provide general and specific training to service center personnel on an ongoing basis for new and existing programs, policies and procedures. Will develop and distribute training materials as needed.
Perform classroom training ranging from new hire training and orientation to follow up classes
Train and develop dock trainers including continued training on interpersonal and professional skills
Evaluate the progress of employees including monitoring their production and development, and performing periodic evaluations which may include working odd hours
Meet with the new hires that are not developing and determine the best course of action including discipline or training, etc.
Discuss the needs of the operation with upper management
Perform interviews for applicants
Assist with various "Cookouts" and dinners for reward programs
Assist with sales meetings and visitor functions
Conduct development and training meetings with supervision
Conduct monthly Claims and Safety meetings which may include working odd hours
Monitor the OJI's and chart the service center's injuries
Perform safety/accident prevention with dock supervision and dock personnel
Train new hire drivers on the BLU computer system
Train new Combo drivers on customer relations and proper paperwork and train them on the driver's handheld computer
Monitor ROI and meet with supervision to ensure follow up with drivers
Required to work all shifts as needed
High School diploma or equivalent
2 years of trucking related supervisory experience
Knowledge of OD operating systems, policies, procedures and culture
Demonstrated proficiency with AS400, SAP and Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
